The new Tim Holtz Distress Oxide Inks are really quite unique. They contain both pigment and dye inks. The combination results in the ability to utilize some of the best features that each type of ink has to offer. The dye ink reacts when wet. It moves and spreads the color to create a wonderful chalky oxidized look. The pigment ink allows you to smoothly blend, emboss, and color on dark cardstock. The combination of these features opens up a whole new world of techniques. In the video below you can watch me apply these techniques to dark backgrounds. If you would like to see the way that they work on light backgrounds look for my other video on Distress Oxides. Don't forget to come back to the store and pickup a few of your favorite colors to try them for yourself.
