So...it's July 26, 2014 and so far things have gone pretty well. I'm still having trouble balancing my time between creating art and creating a business, but things are slowly working out. Not all has gone smoothly though. At one point I lost access to this website and thought I had done something terrribly wrong. I spent two hours on live chat with Weebly only to find out that Google Plus was directing me to Face Book ( I do not have a facebook account) and there was no way for me to sign in. I thought for sure that I had caused the error but apparently Google Plus has not worked out their linking bugs and I just got caught up in the in high tech experimentation.

My Etsy store is slowly filling up and my YouTube videos have increased to four. I am slowly acquiring subscribers. I have verified my business with Google (although I'm not sure I get the whole G+ thing yet), and I am building boards on pinterest. My product photos are slowly improving, but I need to create more products. 

This week, I hope to make some bridal head peices. I recently finished a Bridal Bag and will upload the video here as soon as I have a moment. Sadly, I have yet to start organizing an expenditure sheet. I try...but this part of doing business is my least enjoyed. Over the next few days I need to sit down with Excel and decide how I will keep track of the accounting portion of the business. I suppose I have left the most important part for last but isn't that just like an artist to be so busy at creating and exploring that they are paying little attention to the cost and accounting, so far?

It's 2:30 AM and I'm still on the computer. After setting up Google, organizing my Etsy Shop, fumbling to understand website building, creating my first project share video for YouTube...I feel...well, blind would be a good description. Not exactly great for an artist.

I've also signed up for Pinterest and Twitter, and possibly accounts that I had no intention of signing up for. I have read Blogs, visited sites, filled out forms, and skipped the gym entirely. I am actually soar from sitting. I might need to get those Google Glasses so I can live and start a business at the same time.

I did manage to create a card which I will try to feature on this BLOG at some point. It took me hours to make. I made it for Jane who is velocityvette8 on YouTube. She has offered to help new YouTubers by showing their work on her channel and I'm hoping she might show mine. It's so nice of her to offer to help newbies to get their channel noticed. The crafting community is very helpful and kind to each other. I like it.

Well, I'm going to keep this first one short and sweet. I need some rest. Hopefully, tomorrow I will find the time to do some creating. My goal is to finish my little Lavender Sprays. I think they will be great for Scrappers and Card Makers. They would also be sweet on gifts or tied onto wedding or Bridal Shower Favors.
