It has taken me a long time to reach the point where I am able to consider returning to many of my previous endeavors. The last four years has been fraught with hardships and adversities. Having lost three immediate family members and having survived a long illness myself, I am finally ready to attempt a return. So much has changed. Not just for me but for millions of people across the globe. The phrase "the new normal" is an annoying attempt to suggest that we should all be able to just pick up where we left off. Personally, I am incapable of a "new normal". Life must be lived where ever it lands. We all get but one chance. This is it. This is everything. This is the way it is. With that in mind, living within a day to day hope immersed in perseverance and saturated in gratefulness, forward we go. I hope to be able to update this blog, continue gardening, rejuvenate my paper crafting, reactivate the YouTube Channel, and build my little business. I am very excited about opening up my roadside farm stand tomorrow with buckets of beautiful Daffodils. The yellow ones are open and their bright faces bring me cheer every time I look out the window or step outside to walk through or work in the garden. I can't wait to see the specialty ones that should be opening to join their early siblings any day now. I hope to upload a YouTube Video on the Daffodils in the coming week. Recently, I planted onion starts. I made a video of the process and uploaded it to YouTube. If you have an interest in gardening processes you should check it out. I'm a little rusty at making videos but the only way that I know of to improve is to just jump in and do the work. And what about Heartfelt Creations? Yes, they have gone through their own changes. Many of the Heartfelt Fans own many of their dies and stamps. I still have some in the store. From what I understand they will be offering digital stamps. In the mean time, lets use what we have. I have a couple of special projects in mind and I'll share those with you here, on Instagram, Pinterest, and YouTube. Lets Make!!!
Thanks so much for taking the time to check out my Blog. I hope to be back with more very soon. But, before I go let me just add the most important reason I am able to move forward. God. Thanks Be To God. Without faith, I wouldn't have made it this far and I wouldn't be writing this Blog. See you soon! God Bless, Cathy

I loved creating this Valentines Cards using the Tulip Time Dies and Flower Shaping Mold. Here is a video where I show a close up of the card. In this video I share and show you how to create your own Christmas Card Keepsake Book. I was so tired of just having stacks of cards stuffed in boxes. With this easy to make keepsake book I can now see all of my favorite pretty papers and cards. Now they can stay out in a prominent place where I can look at them anytime to share and for inspiration. It's even more important to do this now that many people send picture cards. This is a nice easy to put together a book for all kinds of letters, cards, and photos combined. Enjoy! I had such a great time working with the papers, dies, and stamps from this collection. I love the sewing and stitching theme. The sentiments such as "Hope you're on the Mend" are befitting of the images and very useful for Get Well Cards. The colors of the papers are gorgeous and I really love the quilt images. The flowers match so well with their patchwork petals and the little decorative buttons are the perfect fill in embellishments. If you would like to see the close up or the collection or my YouTube Card Share check out the videos below. WOW! The Heartfelt Creations Blossoms and Blooms stamps, dies, and shaping mold create gorgeous life like blossoms easily and quickly. I enjoyed making these blossoms without spending hours shaping all of the petals by hand and they came out so beautiful. If you haven't tried any of the shaping molds yet, they are truly worth the investment. You can make so many beautiful flowers to cover your paper projects without wearing out your hands. They are wonderful if you have a big event coming up where you need many flowers for a tablescape, invitations, or to adorn party favors. Best of all they are just plain fun to use. Watch as I use the shaping molds in this youtube video:) Looking for bright colors and cute images for your Christmas Cards? Check out the Merry and Bright Collection from Heartfelt Creations. YAY it's pink. If you love peonies and pink the Heartfelt Creations Sweet Peony Collection is for you. I've already started working with the collection and my fave is the Peony Bud and Blossoms Stamp Set. I was hoping Heartfelt would release a nice large flower stamp and this one is perfect. They always make my wishes come true. I started coloring these guys in as soon as I received them. They are just beautiful. I colored this beautiful blossom in with the Arteza Brush Pen Markers. Watch for an upcoming video with a review of these markers and you'll be able to see snippets of me coloring them. In the meantime, if you would like to see a close up of the entire collection watch the video below. Stay warm everyone. Spring is coming!!! Wow! This collection is truly gorgeous. I love the beautiful pastel colors. The cottage like garden scenes on the papers are a perfect match with the bird cage die and the lovely umbrella stamp spilling over with blossoms would make any shower invite a hit with the invitee's. I just had to create a card right away. This double fold card was easy to make using the papers from the pad for the background. The die that pops out a plentiful number of the little lilac blossoms combined with the new floral mold allowed me to quickly and easily create lots of three dimensional flowers. I couldn't wait to die cut the bird cage and emboss it with a pretty sparkling turquoise powder. The cage was then glued to just one of the card panels. All that was left to do was to add the blossoms. In no time flat an elegant card to gift on a special occasion was complete. Watch the video below to see the entire collection up close. Find the entire collection in the "Newest Heartfelt" category in the store or search for the individual components in the papers, dies, or stamp sections. Think spring and be well to all.
I had so much fun coloring the boots and flowers from the Heartfelt Creations Singing in the Rain Collection. I just had to create some cute little cards with them. I used Dr. PH Martins inks and a small paint brush for the coloring. This was the first time that I had tried these inks on stamped images. I just loved working with the vivid colors. Although it takes a steady hand to paint the stamped images with a brush, I think it would be worth the time and effort when you are looking to create a strong presence of color. If you would like to find the same colors that I used (which are from ink set #2), feel free to jump over to my affiliate store which leads to an amazon link page with the exact same ink set. The Heartfelt Creations Stamps and Dies are right here in the HuckleberryHerbs.com store. I used both the Rain Boots and Blossoms Stamp Set and the Raindrop Sentiments Stamp Set. The video below does not show the coloring but instead the process of putting the cards together. In it I show you how to cut the little boots so that you can place your flowers into the top of the boot. I hope you enjoy the video. |
