I'm so happy about adding another American Company to HuckleberryHerbs.com. Graphic 45 is a great company with beautiful products. Their papers are manufactured right here in the US. I'm in love with the Enchanted Forest and hope to add Cityscapes very soon. Be on the lookout for American ink and glue coming soon as well. Don't foret to register with Huckleberryherbs.com and leave a comment in the Members Lounge. I hope to have some project sharing and giveaways in the lounge so pop on over and help to get the ball rolling:)

These pretty heart shaped lavender sachets are easy to make. Place them in a drawer or in your closet to add a sweet lavender scent to your clothes. Hang them in a locker or in the car to bring pretty and shabby style to an other wise dull surrounding. Cut strips of fabric 4 to 5 inches wide. Make a template by drawing a heart shape a piece of card board. Be sure that the heart shape fits easily onto the fabric. Trace the heart shape onto the wrong side of the fabric. Cut the heart shape from the fabric and pin the two right sides together. Sew the two sides together. Be sure to leave an opening to turn the sachet right sides out. Fill the sachet with a combination of lavender flowers and fiber fill. Sew the opening closed. Don't forget to sew in a ribbon to be a hanger for the sachet. Use fabric glue or a hot glue gun to decorate the edge of the heart with lace or other decorative trim. Add some pretty flowers and your finished. A perfect pretty and useful gift.

In the future, I will be creating albums with these products and if you wish to follow along with the tutorial we can create a beautiful mini togther. Ok...so it's been a while since I posted on my blog. I have plans to update this website and eventually bring all of my products to one site. Sadly, weebly has not functioned well on my cart so I need to fix that problem first. In the mean time I'm going to try to be more diligent about updating my blog and giving people more to read about when they visit. I'm happy to say that after one and a half years, I'm still in there. I've been focused on my Heartfelt Creations Line and have had little time to create handmade items for my Etsy store but I plan to spend some time over Christmas break on some craft projects, including one's that utilize my flowers and herbs. Working full time and at a part time job makes it difficult to maintain my tiny little business but I just keep plugging away with the small moments I have left over. Hopefully the work will pay when when comes the day I can put a full time focus onto my business. I hope everyone has a very Merry Christmas. Thank you for visiting.
Check out this YouTube of the new Paisley Peacock Collection. This collection is gorgeous. See it up close in this video.Blessings to all who have welcomed me into the Gardening and Arts Communities online and off. I have learned much, grown much, and made many new friends from YouTube, Etsy, and the arts online communities. I hope you are having a peaceful, joyous, and love filled Christmas Season. May your New Year be filled with health and prosperity.
God Bless Cathy I created this trifold gift card book or tea book with two gussetted envelopes inside which are perfect place fto hold a special tea or treat. There are plenty of pockets for gift cards, tickets, pictures or whatever special items you would like to include. It comes with tags for journaling and a beautiful removeable stickpin. I used recycled cardboard to create the bas and covered it with gorgeous Heartfelt Creations Papers. It closes with a prettey lace trim which creates a bow on the front.
Check out this video of my Rustic looking Mason Jar with decoupaged pressed flowers. Perfect harvest decor. Pressing flowers reminds me of my grandmother, my childhood, old books, and diaries. It seems a nostalgic act that captures a moment and creates a beautiful keepsake. I picture Victorian Living Rooms and the gardens that supplied them with a fresh vase of flowers. I can almost hear the ticking of the grandfather clock just around the corner in the entrance hall. The incredible floral wall paper and the smell of homemade baked goods coming from the wood stove in the kitchen. A copper kettle boiling the water that would soon brew the tea to be placed on the dollies that cover the end table near the lovely chair in front of the lace covered windows. A slow and tranquil peaceful moment when the precious joys of a bountiful garden were fulfillment enough for the day.
